Hosting and data processed when you visit this website

This website runs on a server that Blue Ocean Solutions GmbH operates itself in Switzerland. No hosting provider is involved. When you visit, your browser connects to this server, which processes technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the requested page and your browser type in order to deliver the page. The web server does not keep access logs of visits. Error messages may be written to a log that is kept only as long as needed to fix the fault.

The address of the server is published through a dynamic DNS name of Synology Inc. This service only helps your device find the server. It does not receive the content of your visit.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your details to answer your enquiry. I keep the correspondence as long as needed for that purpose and for legal retention duties.

Security of the administration login

To protect the administration login, a security plugin records the IP address and the user name of failed login attempts and blocks repeated attempts. These entries concern only people who try to log in, and they are kept only as long as needed for security purposes.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties. It sets one technical cookie, “pll_language”, which remembers the language you have chosen. It does not identify you and expires after one year. The only content from a third party is the booking form on the Contact page (see below).

Online appointment booking

The Contact page embeds an appointment booking form operated by Microsoft (Microsoft Bookings). When you open the Contact page, your browser connects to Microsoft servers, which receive technical data such as your IP address and may set cookies. If you book an appointment, Microsoft processes the details you enter under its own privacy terms and may process data outside Switzerland. If you do not want this, please use the email address instead.

Your rights

You may ask for information about your data, and for its correction or deletion, and you may object to its processing. Please write to the address above. You can also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
